As an argumentative atheist during university, Nicky Gumbel discovered his friends had become Christians, despite his warnings. Nicky decided to do his own investigation to dissuade them and yet, whilst reading and investigating the Bible, he found Jesus to be true and experienced his love. “I came that you might have life and life in all it’s fullness.” - John 10:10

Nicky Gumbel CBE is the pioneer of Alpha Course and served in various capacities at HTB Church for 36 years. Nicky is married to Pippa and together they have three children and a growing number of grandchildren.
