Sandy Millar shares about coming to a living faith - praying without assurance, longing to know if God was really listening. What he found wasn’t something he achieved, but something instead received, through the Holy Spirit, through his wife and a simple invitation to bring a “Bible and a Tennis Racket” and come and see. And what marked it most wasn’t gifts or performance, but love. In the quiet place of prayer, where words fell short and assurance felt distant, he encountered the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Sandy Millar is married to Annette, and they have four grown-up children. He practised as a barrister for ten years before being ordained and served as a Curate at Holy Trinity Brompton in London under two vicars, later swapping roles with the latter. Sandy went on to serve as Vicar of HTB Church for 20 years and was consecrated as a bishop in Uganda. He is now retired, and he and Annette live in Suffolk.
