John shares about the difference between practising faith out of discipline and coming to God out of desire. Because sometimes prayer isn’t about ticking a box or proving we’re serious but it’s simply saying, “Lord, I don’t even want to pray today. Can you help me?” When we realise that God isn’t reluctantly waiting for our attention, but actually longing for us, prayer and Scripture become less about what we have to do and more about meeting with the One who wants to meet with us.
