Looking back on her life, Dr. Annie Alaniz shares how she can see the redemptive hand of God woven through every chapter - from growing up in poverty in Malawi, to becoming a doctor, and eventually returning to serve the community she came from. What began as a dream to change her own circumstances became a calling to bring health, education and hope to others. Sometimes, when we look back, we begin to see that God was preparing us all along for such a time as this.

Originally from Malawi, Dr. Anne Alaniz is a Gynecological Oncologist in Texas. She is a co-founder of the Many Hopes Malawi (Pothawira) which has a home for 124 orphaned children, a primary school for 400, and a medical clinic that treats over 30,000 patients a year. Dr Annie is based in Houston where she lives with her husband Tony and their three children.
