The things that swirl in us are hard to bring to the surface, but bringing them to the surface creates an opportunity for us to open ourselves to God. Thankfully, God is patient with our distracted tendencies.

Rich Villodas is a Brooklyn-born pastor who leads New Life Fellowship, a large multiracial church in Queens, New York. Rich holds a Master of Divinity from Alliance Theological Seminary. He’s been married to Rosie and they have 2 children, Karis and Nathan. His book, The Deeply Formed Life, explores these themes further.
