When Emily Higgins was 16, a tractor accident shattered half her body and left her in her own words “needing a miracle” to survive. She recovered and even returned to gymnastics - watching God heal what surgeons said was impossible. Within this, she also shares a different kind of story post healing - six years of migraines, daily pain, and the slow, stretching work of trusting God when the miracle didn’t come overnight. Her story holds both: the now and the not yet.
Emily Higgins is passionate about equipping the church to raising up new generations to carry the gospel message, and carries this into her work of Alpha Australia. She is married to Ben and they have 4 children together.
