"“Darkness is temporary and light is forever.” For so long, Bruce carried the weight of abuse, loss and the belief that he wasn’t worth loving. But through the love of a church community and a growing relationship with God, he began to discover a different story - one where he is valued, loved and never abandoned."

Bruce Kenambara grew up in Africa before moving to the UK in 2023. He is a keen footballer and became a regular player at football sessions organised by his local church in East London, St John’s Hoxton. He has become a well loved member of the church family where he is developing his gift as a worship leader. Along with others from St John’s he has also set up a youth football initiative, the Hoxton Eagles Football Academy, with the aim of coaching a new generation of footballers.
