An Honest Conversation with Amanda Cook
Amanda Cook

Amanda shares openly about the riskiness of hope, how grief is proof of love, how it's human to feel disappointment, and how God shows up for us when we are at the end of ourselves. She also shares how music was a personal way to self-regulate and meet with God and the difficulty of such a private practice becoming a stage-oriented career. We never shared this full conversation in Instagram, so here it, is in its full and very special form.

Amanda Cook is a Canadian writer and musician based in America. She is best known for writing worship songs such as "You Make Me Brave" and "Extravagant." Her recent solo albums, House on a Hill and State of Union, explore themes of grief, doubt and faith, while her 2023 EP, Survey: Part 1, delves into her journey of discovering what remains when everything is stripped away. Her latest album, The Blue Tent (Live), is available on all streaming platforms.
