When he was a kid, Tim Hughes jumped into his dad’s arms and screamed and beat his dad’s chest until he fell asleep in his arms. His dad felt like this was a picture of God’s safety and comfort towards us, even in our coming to with pain, anger, and any disappointment towards him.

Tim is married to Rachel and together they have 5 children and lead Gas Street Church in central Birmingham. Tim is a prominent worship leader and has written many of the worship songs we sing today.
